Welcome to VIVRA Healing

Why I created VIVRA: My journey into sound, scent & soul

Wellness has been part of my life for a long time.

Long before VIVRA existed, I was the person booking the sound bath, reaching for my oils, going for Reiki, trying meditation, or looking for little ways to feel calmer and more grounded when life felt particularly busy.

And life is busy.

Like so many of us, I've spent years juggling work, family, responsibilities and all the general noise that comes with everyday life. I've had a long career in marketing, I'm a mum and a wife, and I'm definitely someone whose mind can have a lot of tabs open at once!

Over the years, wellness practices became somewhere I could come back to myself.

From experiencing it to wanting to understand it

I've been going to sound healing and exploring different wellness practices for years, but sound in particular had a really profound effect on me.

There's something quite difficult to explain about lying down and allowing yourself to simply receive. No phone. No to-do list. Nothing expected of you. Just sound.

For me, it could quieten some of that mental chatter in a way I sometimes struggled to do by myself. I would leave feeling calmer, less stressed and more grounded, and often sleep so much better afterwards.

The more I experienced it, the more fascinated I became. I wanted to understand why these practices made me feel the way they did. And eventually, experiencing them wasn't quite enough anymore. I wanted to learn how to create that space for somebody else.

So I retrained. I trained in sound healing, continued my Reiki journey and became Reiki Level 2, and explored aromatherapy and essential oils much more deeply.

Slowly, all of those things I loved began to come together.

That became VIVRA Healing.

Sound • Scent • Soul.

Why sound, scent and Reiki?

One of the things I love most about wellbeing is that it doesn't have to look one particular way.

Sometimes I need sound. Sometimes I need stillness. Sometimes it's Reiki. Sometimes it's simply putting a beautiful oil in the diffuser, taking a few deeper breaths and changing the feeling of the space around me.

That's really at the heart of VIVRA.

It's not about being perfectly calm or living some impossibly serene life! It's about having practices we can return to when we need them.

My sound journeys bring together many of the things that have helped me personally, including crystal singing bowls, gong, chimes and other instruments alongside breathwork, guided meditation and aromatherapy.

I love creating an environment where, for an hour or so, there is nowhere else you need to be and nothing else you need to do. You can just rest, reset and reconnect.

Bringing oils into everyday life

My love of essential oils has grown into something much bigger than simply enjoying beautiful scents.

Over the years, I've become much more conscious about what we're using in our home and around our family. I've loved learning how I can bring more natural, lower-tox alternatives into everyday life and how essential oils can become part of that.

For me, it's not about throwing everything away overnight or trying to create a perfectly toxin-free home. It's about making small, considered swaps where I can and finding natural alternatives that work for us.

I use oils in so many different ways now. In diffusers to change the feeling of a room, as part of my evening routine, in bath salts and body oils, in food, drinks and in simple homemade blends. I also love discovering some of the more practical ways they can be used around the home.

I've experimented with oils such as lavender, frankincense, cedarwood, copaiba, peppermint, orange, lime and lemongrass (and many more) and I love learning about the different properties and traditional uses associated with each one.

They've also become a really special part of VIVRA. I use scent within my sound journeys, sometimes beginning a session with an oil in the hands and a few slow breaths, or choosing a diffuser blend to complement the intention of the session.

I've made little oils for guests to take home, facial and body oils, bath salts and other small treats so that they can continue that feeling of self-care afterwards.

What I love most is how accessible it can be. Wellness doesn't always need to mean booking a treatment or finding an hour to meditate. Sometimes it's adding a few drops to your diffuser while you're cooking dinner. Creating a calming bedtime ritual. Making a more natural household product. Running a bath. Or simply breathing in a scent you love and giving yourself a moment.

For me, it's about gradually creating a home and a lifestyle that feel a little more natural, a little more intentional and a little kinder to ourselves and the environment around us.

VIVRA was never really about adding more

If anything, it's about less. Less noise. Less rushing. Less feeling that we constantly need to be doing something. And a little more space to simply be.

I know firsthand how difficult that can be. I'm certainly not floating around in a permanent state of zen! But these practices have given me tools that I genuinely use in my own life to help me slow down, manage stress, sleep better and feel more connected to myself.

That's why sharing them feels so special.

There's something wonderful about watching somebody arrive at a session carrying the stresses of the day and then seeing the difference afterwards. Softer, calmer, sometimes sleepy, sometimes emotional, sometimes simply saying, "I really needed that."

Because I know that feeling. I've been the person lying on the mat needing that calm, too.

A new chapter for VIVRA

VIVRA began during one chapter of my life and has now travelled with me into another.

After starting my sound journeys in the UK, our family moved to Spain and VIVRA came too.

I'm now creating a dedicated space where I can continue offering sound healing, Reiki and aromatherapy and, hopefully, build a lovely little community around them.

I also have lots of ideas bubbling away, including workshops, intimate sound journeys, one-to-one sessions, retreats and ways of bringing sound, scent and simple wellbeing practices into everyday life.

But whatever VIVRA grows into, I want the heart of it to remain the same. A welcoming space. Nothing intimidating. Nothing you need to be good at. You don't need to know how to meditate, understand chakras or have tried sound healing before.

You can simply come as you are. Lie down. Get comfortable. Breathe. And for a little while, allow somebody else to hold the space while you do absolutely nothing.

Because sometimes doing nothing is exactly what we need.

Sound • Scent • Soul.
